Welcome to the Downfield Golf Club Winter League Website

The Downfield Golf Club Winter League first started in 1970, primarily to provide a competitive interest throughout the winter months.  The league usually starts around the second week in October and continues through until late March.  The format for the competition is a fourball better-ball match with two teams consisting of one player from section A and one from section B.  The current league has 40 players and there are 3 reserves who step in on an ad-hoc basis to cover absences.  The division between sections A and B is based on the lowest 20 handicaps at the time the league starts.
